Cami Checketts and the POISON ME Blog Tour

Poison Me by Cami Checketts

Jake Merrill was raised by his grandmother, Ruby, and her hilarious friends. After a suspicious death at the retirement home where Ruby lives, she enlists Jake and Chanel, the beautiful activities director, to help her find the killer.
But secrets Ruby has kept for decades threaten her family and the man she’s always loved but could never have. Chanel’s unstable ex-boyfriend, a presumably dead relative, and vicious criminals add to the confusion. Time is running out as Jake, Chanel, and Ruby desperately search for clues to solve the murders and fight to save those they love.

Praise for Poisen Me
Poison Me made me laugh out loud and thoroughly enjoy myself. I wish I had a friend like Ruby! Snappy dialogue, romance, and a strong sense of family made this book well worth reading.

  1. What a great title. It's very catchy.

  2. This sounds like one heck of a suspenseful yet humor-driven story. Something about drudging up the past always add to the mischief.

    1. Thanks, Angela, the characters in this book just cracked me up when I was writing it. I love drudging up the past!

  3. Oh my, did you see the news report earlier this week on NBC about the woman in the assisted living center that called 911 for help and no one at the facility would administer CPR? The poor woman died right there. It was the most awful thing I've ever heard. So yeah, this book is definitely borrowing from today's headlines (maybe more sensationalized as there's an actual killer as opposed to people that refuse to render aid).

    1. My parents worked at a retirement home (very healthy and young residents) and had four deaths in one week and the police didn't investigate it. That's when I started writing this book.
That's so sad no one would help that lady.

  4. This sounds like a fun and interesting read. I'm at the point now where I'll have to live well beyond 100 to finish off my TBR list, but I can't seem to help myself.

    1. Lol, I'm with you on the TBR pile! It's so fun though.

  5. Sounds like an interesting book! Love the title.
