Dawn of the Mages Giveaway

I need your help. Dawn of the Mages has been up for pre-order on Amazon since July. It's finally available. I think. Not sure because it says it's out of stock.

Anyway, it's now possible for people to write reviews on Amazon. I have several copies of the book that have the incorrect blurb on the back that I can't sell and don't feel I can send to review sites. So, I'm giving them away for honest reviews. Seriously, even if you don't love it (but can give at least 3 stars) I'm all in! With Amazon it's simply a numbers game, and it's so hard to get reviews.

Blurb:
The Dragumon have been defeated, but the planet Sendek will never be the same.

In order to save their world, Talia and Landry Sutton had to wake the forgotten magic on Sendek. But instead of restoring peace, it creates chaos on the city streets, with those unable to work magic turning against those who can. When Talia and Landry travel to the planet Orek to discover how it combines magic and science, they find a new, anti-magical government. The Controllers have all the tech, weapons, and natural resources. On Orek, the magical outcasts beg Talia and Landry to help them rise up against their oppressors. The two must decide whether to help save Orek or return home and save their own planet. Talia and Landry are torn apart by the conflicting missions. Talia knows what Landry wants, but if she gives in, she could lose what she loves the most.

You've got a week to enter to win. I'll give away four copies of the book and mail them by Friday the 26th.

    1. I know. This has been a weird release. The kindle version won't be out until September which means I won't have any sales until then. No one is going to pay $16.99 for my book when they can get a John Grisham for $9.99. *sigh*

  3. Just checking first. Is this giveaway international? If not, I won't enter as I understand shipping charges can be a lot sometimes. Best of luck Charity. Nice way to get those reviews.

Yes it can be hard for indie authors to sell paperbacks. I have seen some for as high as $30. I mean come on, no one is paying that much. Indies especially need to stay on top of cost though I understand print isn't cheap.

    1. Sorry, it's just continental US. :(

The thing about Indie printing is there are ways to do this really cheap. I believe in paying for an editor, designer, and great cover art. Then you can use Createspace which is free. No need to charge a fortune for paperbacks!
