IWSG and D is for Dark Side and Dear Agony

My IWSG post is below.

For the Blogging A to Z challenge, I'm sharing the music of my life. This simply means it has to be a song I chose to upload to my van. I tried to find videos without ads, but that's getting increasingly harder than ever before. :(

Here's one of my American Idol favorites--the first winner, Kelly. This song is a true love song for me. We all have a dark side, and those who love us know how to love all sides of us.

Dark Side by Kelly Clarkson

I've actually never heard this next song as acoustic until I went looking for it for today's post. So, bonus!

Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin (Acoustic)

D Artists on my Playlist:
Daughtry
David Cook
Demi Lovato
Dierks Bentley
Dixie Chicks

What's your favorite D song or artist?

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time. Be sure to link to this page and display the badge in your post.

I'm currently #40.

I'm going to keep it short today. This last month has been a roller coaster of "I've got this!" to "Argggg!" Some days I get through my writing goals, other days (mostly the rainy ones) I've curled up in my recliner with a blanket and binge watched crime shows.

So, in many ways, the two songs for todays A2Z challenge are very appropriate. They fit my insecurities when they are full blown and active. Have you ever had a writing session that felt more like dear agony than delight?

It's all good I guess, as long as we don't give up.

I WILL finish these two projects and get them out by the end of the year. That's what I need to feel like a writer again. That success will build me back up to where I was before I quit writing to work for a year. *fingers crossed*

  2. I think that's how this month is turning out for me. Some days I feel like I have it and others I just want to crawl back into bed.

  4. Totally cool that you found that acoustic version. The A to Z is good for something, eh?
