Each one is different, especialy as I hop around the genres. Thanks so much for this post. It's made me realise something. I think this is one of my problems with novel writing. I'm missing the rush.Deborah Walkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10120928766455872439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762622439282650752.post-10790626028250783342011-10-02T22:18:27.426-05:002011-10-02T22:18:27.426-05:00I love that excited for writing feeling!I love that excited for writing feeling!Peggy Eddlemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10241451940725996650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762622439282650752.post-30179182031862053722011-10-01T21:41:13.803-05:002011-10-01T21:41:13.803-05:00Having been married for seven years, I understand ...Having been married for seven years, I understand the 'relationship' analogy entirely. At the moment, I have a shiny new idea that's making it very hard for me to concentrate on editing Tangled. Thankfully my 'marriage eyes' aren't so easily tempted. :-)Cally Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08313803959936813426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762622439282650752.post-1252608634096919612011-09-30T19:37:19.358-05:002011-09-30T19:37:19.358-05:00my beta reader gives me crits in a way that makes ...my beta reader gives me crits in a way that makes me want to improve and get right to it!

and my first short stories have that new love feeling in them. i love that feeling!Tara Tylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07587802105993889515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762622439282650752.post-44701634991332621152011-09-30T17:43:26.763-05:002011-09-30T17:43:26.763-05:00Elle, you said it perfectly. You need distance from the craft. George R.R. Martin (for example) never writes during the winter. He takes all those months off to just watch football, get fatter, and paint frickin' miniatures that he puts on his Lego castle. He could give a crap if people are waiting for his next book because as Neil Gaiman passed along for him, "George R.R. Martin is not your bitch"...

I just realized I was ranting...sorry. Anyway...yeah take a break.Michael Offutt, Phantom Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10557969104886174930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7762622439282650752.post-46938410842494455372011-09-30T13:56:14.525-05:002011-09-30T13:56:14.525-05:00Thanks for posting my question!
