My twitter style pitch...

...went vague again. I submitted it anyway to the contest on the query tracker blog. Here it is weighing in  at 139 characters.
As her nightmares of invasion and death become reality, a lonely scientist embraces forgotten magic to save her world from an ancient evil.
Bangs head on table and wonders why this is so hard. I should have waited. There are several hours left, but I don't think I'm going to make any breakthroughs today.

Why? Because I was attacked by a new wip idea yesterday. Totally different from my last wip. I have no idea where it's going, but I've been writing with pen and notebook to keep the words coming. I paused earlier today to start typing. Halfway through the hand written pages and I'm at 2282 words! The best part? I'm torn between typing and continuing to write.

A plot is starting to glimmer and tease. Which translates to laying in bed for hours last night not sleeping as I pondered the possibilities.  I'm so excited! Talia's pouting because I'm concentrating on Ryan now. Don't worry Talia. I have book two outlined and ready for Nanowrimo. Let me enjoy following my muse in freedom right now.

:D Great big smiley face!

  1. I think that's a good pitch line. I entered that contest too. I was kind of hasty with mine as well.

  2. Congratulations on your new WiP! Handwriting so many words and typing them up in a day are a lot of work! :)

And I really like your pitch.

  4. I love it when inspiration strikes and you just can't stop it. It's always good to have a few different things going at once.

As for the handwriting, more power to you! I wish I could get myself to do that and be able to read it later! :)

  5. Sounds like the new WIP is intriguing and has definitely captured your attention. Best of luck and hope the words continue to flow whether you're typing or writing by hand.

  6. Yay for new Idea! I have that problem come up on a regular basis. My entry for the break the rules blogfest has lead to a two-book extra idea I didn't need. I've hand written 50 pages so far of my sekrit novel, so know how you feel on the hand writing part. I think it's a good use all those blank journals some of us (me) buy for no reason.

  7. If you're inspired, just keep writing!
