Let's Look at Infinite Possibilities

You know my love of all things Charlie, right? Well, that hasn't changed. Here's a topic that bears some more thought.

So, if there are an infinite number of each of us out there, what do you hope that you are doing differently somewhere?

I'd hope that some of the infinite "me's" would have opted to write The Magic Wakes as a screenplay instead of a novel. And made millions doing it.

Yep, that's what I wish I had done.

Now for some real science that goes along perfectly with Charlie's topic.

    1. I know. It just gives me chills. How can anyone look into space at all of it's glory and beauty and not believe in a divine being?

  2. I've always hated the "infinite me" theory--the idea that there's a me somewhere that made different choices and is now living a different life. The parallel universe thing. And I hate it because it says (to me) that my choices in this life don't matter so much, because I made a different choice in another reality.

Yeah, I have some weird ideas.

    1. Well, I can see your point though. I guess I just always looked at it a bit differently. My choices count to ME, but it's kind of fun to think that somewhere I might have chosen differently. However, that's when "I" become "someone else" because I believe our choices define us. It would be cool to have a conversation with a slightly different "me" though.

  3. Funny, I was just thinking about this theory this morning. And you know what? I'm pretty dang happy with the version I am here. :-P

  4. If there are infinite me's out there somewhere, I hope one of them has the sense to keep his diet under control, control sodium, and get a degree where jobs are in demand.

    1. I wonder if different food choices all our lives could affect whether or not we are taller than currently? You know, actually reach our full genetic potential instead of stunting ourselves with the bad choices?

  5. I'm happy where I am, flaws and bad choices and all. If not for those choices, I wouldn't be who I am now.

  6. I love this concept, and it will be explored a little in my next series - if I ever get past concept to actually writing it!

I love my life and wouldn't change it for the world, but if there are infinite me's, I hope that one of them stayed in the drama course I started when I was 17 and followed her dreams of becoming an actor - I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see how that Cally's life is going now. :-)

    1. It would be cool to be that fly on the wall and just zip through wormholes to each different version of "us".
