Elaine's Cake |
Reception set up. |
This week I dig back into the third round of edits for Talia's next story installment--Search For Knowledge. Things are going well and we are down to the nitty gritty clean up. Hopefully, I'll have an idea when it might be released soon. Right now I just know 2016, this year! Yay!
I keep trying different background music for the book trailer. What do you think of this one?
My next post will be the blurb. I need help!
Hope you all have a great week, catch you later!
I didn't know you designed cakes. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteLike the trailer and the music. Not quite science fiction or fantasy styled music, but it works.
Thanks Alex! Finding good music that fits the scifi and fantasy feel is so hard. It kind of drives me crazy. I had another song that was more mystical, but it got boring really quick. *sigh*
DeleteI like this music much better. The cake looked fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alicia!
DeleteThat is a beautiful cake...and yummy looking. Can I have a piece? ;)
ReplyDeleteThere was plenty to share! I tend to make WAY more cake than needed.
DeleteDo you have a wedding cake business? If not, you should. Weddings are huge business.
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz! At one time I thought owning a bakery would be amazing. Then I started writing. :) Mostly I do cakes for friends for cost. It takes some of the pressure off the job (not really, but I try to tell myself that).
DeleteFrom a fat man, that entry on your cake is very disappointing. You are a writer! I want to know what the frosting was made of, what ingredients you used, how do you think it will taste, did you use mayonnaise in the cake (I hear they make the moistest insides). Anyway...the devil is in the details. But it looks physically gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Very true, and I apologize. The chocolate layers each contained sour cream (for extra moistness instead of mayo). They also contained almost 4 lbs of chocolate chips. The vanilla layer will filled with real butter, whole milk and extra vanilla. Personally I think vanilla is boring, but it wasn't my choice. The devil of details is in the frosting. Real butter, real vanilla, 12 lbs of powedered sugar, whipped to perfection and piled on. And I mean PILED on!
DeleteLove the music and the images in your trailer. Very exciting and well done. The cake is gorgeous too :) love the berries!
ReplyDeleteThe music has the right amount of tension balanced with excitement. I'd say it's a winner. (And the cake is lovely! You did a fabulous job.)
ReplyDeleteAgree totally with Crystal about the music. I was taken away.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the music. It immediately caught and kept my attention. :-D
ReplyDeleteFabulous looking cake!!! You are such a creative person. I like the tension in the music.
