- What is your favorite word? Plethora, it's just fun to say.
- What is your least favorite word? No
- What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? 1st--Beauty. Seeing something beautiful makes me think how amazing God's creations are, and I want to do something to express my gratitude. 2nd--Seeing someone do something really stupid sparks my creativity.
- What turns you off? Negativity, people telling me to be realistic, doubt
- What is your favorite curse word? Bloody hell (but I never get to say it)
- What sound or noise do you love? There are so many! Children's laughter, rain/thunderstorms, the sound of autumn leaves when you walk through them...
- What sound or noise do you hate? All four kids talking at once or arguing. Makes me want to crawl into a hole and never come out.
- What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I'd love to be a professional ball room dancer--standard and Latin styles. It just looks like so much fun. And no, I can not dance. :(
- What profession would you not like to do? Any job that requires me to listen to other people complain. I can be a good listener every once in a while, but constant complaining really depresses me and I just don't want to be around it.
- If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? I believe it does exist, and I would love to hear "Welcome home."
"It's easy to believe in magic when you're young. Anything you couldn't explain was magic then. It didn't matter if it was science or a fairy tale. Electricity and elves were both infinitely mysterious and equally possible - elves probably more so." ~Charles de Lint

I guess being a social worker is out of the question, then? Great answers! fun! :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's never too late to start dance lessons! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! I couldn't stick around with people complaining all the time, either.
ReplyDeletePlethora is lovely!
Oh, ballroom dancer! That would be great!!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Professional ballroom dancer! Now that would be fun. I've had a few ballroom dancing lessons and I'm rubbish at it, but it's such fun.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, 4 kids at once, that would stress me out, too.
ReplyDeleteI like how your answer to #2 goes with your answer for #4. Negativity is a huge drain on all of us.
And having 2 left feet myself, I took some Argentine Tango lessons a couple of years back. It wasn't too bad. It even made my hopelessly uncoordinated husband look good. And it's fun. Start hinting now, and maybe your hubby will get you guys some lessons for next year's V-day :)
oh #9 i agree with you there. I'd be a terrible doctor/nurse. Suck it up already. heheh
ReplyDeleteBloody Hell is a great curse word. I say it from time to time.
ReplyDeleteYour favorite curse word reminds me of Ron Weasley, which made me smile. Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for stopping by. I was trying to reply to comments via email, and after half of them I noticed they were all going to the "no-comment blogger" email addy. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteSo, um highlights of what I tried to send...
Social worker? NO WAY, lol.
Private dance lessons have been on my list for a long time. We're just waiting on the $$ to do it.
I think I picked up bloody hell from Red Dwarf, or some other British sitcom. I loved that Ron always says it too. Very endearing, isn't it?
I don't know how people deal with complaining people all day long. Customer service, fast food restaurants, DMV -- kudos to those who do jobs in those places well!
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! Thanks for playing along!!
Hi, Charity,
ReplyDeleteWe have several answers in common. Numbers 2,3,4, and 10.
I love "bloody hell." It reminds me of Ron Weasley from HP.
Michael

Plethora, nature, rain and storms - I love your answers :D
ReplyDeleteI like how beauty and stupidity can spawn your creativity! And noisey/arguing kids seems to be a popular answer for 7! And I love your answer to #10.
ReplyDelete“All four kids talking at once or arguing.” I can see how that would not be pleasant!
ReplyDeleteBloody Hell. I love it. I'm not sure I can pull it off though.
ReplyDeleteah, like a plethora of pinatas! And ballroom dancer is close to Broadway star... good stuff! :o) <3
ReplyDeleteAhh . . . ballroom dancer. I love it.
ReplyDeletewelcome home will be welcome words indeed.
ReplyDeletehahaha i'm always afraid if i say bloody hell i'd get looked at funny. but i definitely think it a lot. (i watch way too much harry potter!)
ReplyDeleteand i love plethora too! always reminds me of the three amigos :) "do you know what it is to have a plethora?!"
No seems to be a popular least favourite word.
ReplyDeleteIf that makes sense?
I love plethora too!
ReplyDeleteAnd while I do love hearing my children's laughter, I don't love when they argue either!
As the mom of 4 kids too I HEAR you on all of them talking all at once! lol. Too much.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your list... still making it through the blogfest!
Corinne
Glad we're in the same crusade group. Cool!
ReplyDeleteYeah complaining depresses me too. I'm also a crusader, so this is two stops in one.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll hear, "Welcome home."
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment on Liz's blog just now and came over to meet you. How lovely that I really did get to meet you through this wonderful list. I, too, like the sound of children's laughter and rain and leaves crunching underfoot. These are the sounds we need to hear, not negative ones from people.

Plethora is a fun word to say, and I like using it for its meaning as well. Nice answers! :)
ReplyDeleteOh! I love that you want to be ballroom dancer. How cool is that? When you get the time and $$ to take lessons, will your hubs join you?
ReplyDeleteStopping by to introduce myself as a new follower and fellow crusader. Did you find out what group you're in yet?
ReplyDeleteAwesome answers! I can't stand listening to people complain either!
ReplyDeleteWow, everyone seems to be doing this.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love the word plethora as well! It's nice to meet a fellow crusader! Have a great weekend!
