Still Recovering

LOL, my life didn't slow down enough for me to recover quickly from a week on my feet feeding people. It just keeps marching on. I'm now in full training mode for the marathon in November.

I Hate Every Minute Of It.

So why am I doing it? Because my best friend is a nazi training partner and she won't let me quit. Aren't friends great?! I need her right now to reach a goal I set. It's hard. It stinks. I stink. It hurts.

But...I'll lose that last 20 pounds and I really want one of those 26.2 stickers to put on my van with the 13.1.

There, that's how crazy I am. I'm willing to run 26 miles for a sticker.

What crazy things are you willing to do for a prize? And what would the prize be?
Warning: I may or may not use this information for future contests. Depending on the cost of prizes of course. :)

Oh! I forgot that I wanted to leave you with an awesome song today as well.

  1. The things we do for love eh? On the upside, you are that much healthier. =)

I don't do things for prizes, unless they include or lead to publication.

  2. I love the idea of running marathons, but I HATE to run. My knee also pops so there's that. I can see why you'd want the sticker though. It's like a little carrot at the end of a stick.

What do to for a prize? Well, it doesn't take much for me. I like winning things, and I hardly ever do. Books, book marks, journals...books are my main weakness though. Especially if there's a choice in case I already have the book in question.

Looking forward to the picture of cake. :D

  3. Elizabeth, you had to mention cake. I'll do almost anything for a good piece of cake. :)

  4. Have a great time running! It's good to have friends that push you. I'm most interesting in crits as prizes, things that will help me improve as a writer. Thanks!

  6. I'm querying 100 agents b/c I'm convinced 99 rejections must lead to one yes.

  7. I've been running using the Wii as a tool. I do this because our backyard is way to sloped and we have too many trees and my father is paranoid so I can't run up and down the streets.

I'm trying to gain muscle. XD

  8. Good on ya, Charity! Hope you reach your goal. And I'm looking forward to hearing more about your personalised rejection! Weirdly, I totally get your excitement about that!
