I'm wandering through house after house today looking for a place to live. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you three little conversation bytes that occurred over the course of my summer. The last two came from my children, proof that I'm raising them right.
Don't judge a book by its cover, judge it by the last page. --source unremembered, but it's scribbled in my notebook.
__________
"It would have been cooler if it was a blue police box.
__________
Kid #2 "Look, it's the crack! The Silence is coming."
Kid #1 "What?"
Kid #2 "Huh, I didn't say anything."
There was a fourth, but I can't find where I wrote it down. Something along the lines of "She's not dead. She's just in the trunk."
Those are funny!
ReplyDeleteHope you find just the right house soon.
That's funny. House shopping is so strange, good luck.
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks all! Yeah, we found the perfect house Thursday morning but have been waiting ever since to see if they will let us bring our dog.
ReplyDeleteThe hours before flying back to NC are ticking down and we are starting to panic. Do we move on to our second choice, or keep waiting?
Yesterday there was a kid in class wearing a t-shirt with the police box and it said "Rule #1: The Doctor lies." A 7th grader. I was impressed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your first choice house. Fingers crossed.
Kids say the cutest things!
ReplyDeleteJai
Ha!! Kids just say some things you got to love even if you have to shake your head at them for "other" things that just POP right on through their innocent lips :-)
ReplyDeleteThe last two go completely over my head. It's either a cultural thing or I'm just particularly slow today! :-)
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh. Definitely a cultural thing. The Doctor Who culture that is. ;)
