Everything is less structured, which is good at times. However, being a creature of habit I get a bit out of sorts when I don't even know what day it is.
I don't know if I've mentioned it on here (probably did since I'm an open book), but we are still in the process of selling our house. We've had three showings in two days. That's good, but it makes it hard to settle into writing. I spend the time before cleaning or pushing the kids to clean. Then we wander around with all three dogs in the van until we can come back home.
We can't do anything on the house we want to buy until we sell this one. Well, that's not true. We've have handymen and electricians in there, flooring, roofing and a kitchen designer. The plans are laid. We just need the money from the sale to make it happen. I hate waiting.
On top of that, it's been raining for like...2 months?
All the normal family stuff is still going on as well. Scout camps, girls camps, band camp is coming and a church youth conference. I should have taken out stock at REI.
Last week I was getting a lot of good writing in. This week? I'm still waiting for it. I need a sunny day where we can go sit at the pool. And write, write, write.
How's your day or week going?
I hope your house sells soon. Driving around with the dogs and kids is no fun. At least if it wasn't raining, you could all go for a walk.
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are crossed that you sell the house soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm working and it's finals week, so it's good. (I'm surprised I actually worked a day where they were taking a final.) Tomorrow is the last day of school, and I have a gig. So, I'm stoked.
ReplyDeleteI'm about halfway through your book. Will get the feedback to you in a week or so.
Hope the house-selling goes well. My week's going well, I got stuff done, all my cats' kittens are alive and well and only rarely escape their kitten boxes. And I actually finished a short story that I'm going to publish as an ebook once I do some revisions. God's in His heaven & life's good.
