What I learned from camping--part 2

All pictures are from the Tanawah Trail near Blowing Rock, NC off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Sometimes the path before us looks like this. Strewn with rocks and tree roots. It's slippery when wet, and you have to watch your step. You climb up, you move down. Sometimes you think, "this is just too hard." But if you keep walking, climbing, moving forward, you just might come out to a place where the whole world lies before you.

Our family sitting on top of the world.

And then, as you head back down to earth, you start to notice all the little beauties along the way. Struggle makes us stronger. Struggle makes our characters stronger. Struggle is good, but don't forget the moments of peaceful beauty. They also stretch our souls.

What I've learned from camping? There's nothing like the great indoors! (Sorry, I am not an outdoorsy kind of guy.)
