Secrets of the Ash Tree Cover Reveal and Book Signing News

Today is the cover reveal for Siv Ottem's new book Secrets of the Ash Tree. Michael Di Gesu has put together an awesome cover for her and in order to see it, you will need to visit one of their webpages today. Just click on their names. ;)

Here's the Blurb:

In the realm of the gods and fairy tales the mystery of life is an endless path with many secrets to be discovered. Some secrets are like dreams, just waiting in darkness hoping to get into the light.

Secrets of the Ash Tree is the story about Liv, a young woman who discovers her true nature through the unraveling of hidden secrets. Her adventures begin when she digs up a chest that was buried by her father under the old ash tree in her garden. What she finds inside the chest changes her life forever.  Liv discovers one secret after another and is thrown into a world full of dangerous and strange creatures, mighty Norse warriors and perils beyond her belief. What started out as a fairy tale in her father’s journal was to become her legacy, a guide line to survival, and a map to the world she was about to enter. Each day, each mystery, each encounter will ultimately reveal her true destiny and behind the edge of a sword awaits a young god who is willing to share that destiny with her.

In Other News...

Saturday night I had another book signing in Murfreesboro, TN. I grew up in this area and it was a lot of fun to see some friends from my high school days. Unfortunately I forgot my camera! This pic is from my phone and not very good.

I also read aloud from my book for the first time in front of a group that night. It was for family and two of my best friends from high school, but it brought a new high to this published author bit. Even though I was nervous, all these months of reading aloud at writer's group really paid off. And the cool part was the thoughts running through my mind, "I'm sharing my book with new people that haven't read it!"

One is a professed non-reader even! I assured him he didn't have to like my book for my sake, but I'm honored he's going to give it a shot. Sometimes that's enough, you know?

What's going on with you these last weeks of summer?

  7. That's great you got to do a book signing in Murfreesboro. I lived in Clarksville, so I know where that's at! It sounds like things are going well for you this summer, keep up all the good work. I learn alot from reading your blog!

  8. You look great in that picture. However, you should have run it through photoshop to tone down all that yellow. It's overwhelming the photograph.

    1. Yep, that's what my sister is supposed to be doing for me. She's good at that kind of thing and I'm not unfortunately. I'll update the pic if she ever sends me the good one. ;) Oh, and thanks!

  9. Thanks everyone for being so patient with me during the summer. I hate that I don't get to reply to everyone because I'm running around like crazy. Hopefully when I return home I'll get my computer fixed and have one dedicated just for me again.

Michael did a great job on Siv's cover! Makes me wish once again that I could draw. LOL.
