Saturday night I had another book signing in Murfreesboro, TN. I grew up in this area and it was a lot of fun to see some friends from my high school days. Unfortunately I forgot my camera! This pic is from my phone and not very good.
I also read aloud from my book for the first time in front of a group that night. It was for family and two of my best friends from high school, but it brought a new high to this published author bit. Even though I was nervous, all these months of reading aloud at writer's group really paid off. And the cool part was the thoughts running through my mind, "I'm sharing my book with new people that haven't read it!"
One is a professed non-reader even! I assured him he didn't have to like my book for my sake, but I'm honored he's going to give it a shot. Sometimes that's enough, you know?
What's going on with you these last weeks of summer?
Congrats to Siv! Michael created one super cover.
ReplyDeleteMichael did a great job with Siv's book cover.
ReplyDeleteGlad your signing and reading was such a success!
Glad your reading was fun and don't you just love what Michael did?!
ReplyDeleteI got a chance to check out Siv's reveal over at Michael DiGesu's blog. He did a wonderful job on the cover.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful experience with your book signing and reading :-)
Glad your signing went well. And I don't see what's wrong with that picture.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Siv and I've won a few books this past week.
ReplyDeleteThat's great you got to do a book signing in Murfreesboro. I lived in Clarksville, so I know where that's at! It sounds like things are going well for you this summer, keep up all the good work. I learn alot from reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in that picture. However, you should have run it through photoshop to tone down all that yellow. It's overwhelming the photograph.
ReplyDeleteYep, that's what my sister is supposed to be doing for me. She's good at that kind of thing and I'm not unfortunately. I'll update the pic if she ever sends me the good one. ;) Oh, and thanks!
DeleteThanks everyone for being so patient with me during the summer. I hate that I don't get to reply to everyone because I'm running around like crazy. Hopefully when I return home I'll get my computer fixed and have one dedicated just for me again.
ReplyDeleteMichael did a great job on Siv's cover! Makes me wish once again that I could draw. LOL.
